About

Project EmpowHer is a grassroots initiative dedicated to equipping under-resourced women with the tools, training, and support needed to build their own futures. Founded by Anisha Mohta, a passionate teen changemaker, the project transforms fundraising efforts into seed funding, mentorship, and vocational support for aspiring women entrepreneurs across West Bengal.

We believe that empowerment begins with opportunity. That’s why we go beyond charity—offering hands-on skills training, startup capital, and long-term guidance to help women launch sustainable small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Whether it’s a tailoring unit, a home bakery, or a salon, each business started through Project EmpowHer is a step toward financial independence, confidence, and community leadership.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission

Our Founder

Anisha Mohta is a passionate student changemaker and the driving force behind Project EmpowHer. Deeply moved by the inequalities faced by women in underserved communities, Anisha launched this initiative to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.

Starting with small fundraisers and community campaigns, she channeled her creativity and empathy into real-world impact—mobilizing resources to help women become financially independent through entrepreneurship. Her leadership is rooted in hands-on action, from organizing training workshops to personally mentoring new entrepreneurs.

Anisha believes that empowering one woman can uplift an entire community. With every business launched through Project EmpowHer, she’s turning that belief into a growing, thriving movement.
